Small Steps: Memoirs of a Fighter Pilot

Experiences of the author from entering the Air Force through Officer Training School, until retirement 24 years later at the end of a career of flying fighter aircraft.

Jim Olson grew up in Menominee Michigan and received a BS degree from the Wisconsin State University - Superior and a MS degree from the University of Northern Colorado. His wife is Dr. Jean K. Olson and they have 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren. After 24 years of service in the Air Force with 2 tours in South Korea and 1 in Germany the author retired in Panama City, Florida where he has been a 7th grade science teacher for the past 16 years.
