James B. Haybyrne has over thirty years experience in international management consulting. He formerly was a Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, New York, responsible for consulting assignments globally with a specific focus on Asia. Mr. Haybyrne has consulted on strategy to over 150 CEOs and their executive leadership teams and has worked in over 30 countries. His strategy clients include Philips, National Semiconductor, New York Life, The Peninsula Hotel Group, China Airlines, Bayer, Prudential (U.K.) and Lane Crawford. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Systems Management and a Master of Science Degree in Organization Development from the University of Southern California for whom he also taught Organization Theory at the graduate level. He has written on various strategic issues for The South China Morning Post, Hong Kong’s leading English language newspaper and was featured in numerous interviews on CNBC. His opinions have been quoted in Business Week magazine and he has been featured speaker at many of their CEO Forums. He developed the principle of the Strategic Anchor(R), a simple but powerful concept that is used by his global clients to craft their strategies. He is the author of the book "Dream. Think. Become. Essays for the Mind of a Strategic Thinker" in which he shares his insights to the power of strategic thinking and its impact on organizational performance. He is a member of the Governing Committee of Prince of Wales Hospital, an 1,100 bed teaching hospital, as well as a Patron of AIDS Concern. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, a member of The Society for Competitor Intelligence Professional and has been listed in the international edition of Who’s Who. He was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in India.
