Alexia Parks is an inspirational speaker and author of nine books. Her book: Parkinomics, 8 Great Ways to Thrive in the New Economy, was written while she was recovering from colorectal cancer and surgery. It became a business and motivational bestseller on Amazon.com. Over the years Alexia Parks has written for the national desk of The Washington Post, been a NYC magazine publisher, and served as Director of Communications for 100 major daily newspapers at the Sunday Newspaper Network in New York City. As an entrepreneur, she established a national mentor-training program, called Focus on Success, for teachers and parents. In addition, she has been called "one of 50 people who matter most on the Internet," by Newsweek Magazine, for setting up the first electronic voting system on the Internet in 1995. In 2007, she became the first accredited BLOGGER at the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Bali, Indonesia. She currently blogs for the Huffington Post, magazines, and is working on two new book projects.
