Tracie Gerardi is an accomplished actress based in New York City. Her passion for writing was sparked in a high school creative writing class, and was fostered at her university where she wrote several scripts and screenplays for her acting classes. Home alone on a Sunday evening, she wrote down the jumbled images of "A strange dream I had that was too vivid to forget." The dream, which she still touts as the most "horrifically astounding" dream she’s ever had, ignited the idea for her first novel, CHASE. The inspiration for her protagonist, Alyssa Donovan, comes from "What I think would happen if my mother, Cagney, Lacey, and I pooled our DNA and poured it all into tight jeans." She is expected to release the second in the Donovan series by Summer 2011.
