My Years of Service to My Lord and Country is about the memories of one man's youth and adulthood. The fi rst section describes the many people and programs that affected his life and inspired him to serve his community. Paul also shares some of the experiences he had while helping the disadvantaged. The second section tells of his three years of service in the infantry in North Africa and Italy during World War II and how the destruction of war affected him.
