Where the Truth Lies

Assam Ali travels freely through Pakistan. His ultimate goal is to spread his belief throughout the free world. To fund his terrorist ways he keeps the drug trade going with the help of his American counterpart, Representative McMann. The intertwined lives of the characters span a little more than a century, beginning in Tsarist Russia and culminating, at least for now, in a major American city on September 11, 2001, in an act of violence never witnessed in the U.S.A. This tale of historic fiction portrays the lives of its characters that make choices based on circumstances they are dealt, and then suffer from, succumb to, or rise above the ensuing consequences. The overall theme is that the essence of truth exists philosophically; how and by whom it is presented, and when and by whom it is perceived, may make it difficult to ever know where the truth lies.
