Inside the Artist

Sarah Ghanooni grew up in Bellevue, Washington, born August 25th, 1986. Art has always been her passion whether its painting, drawing, fashion design, or music. She grew up from a diverse background of Middle-Eastern and Mexican heritage. From an early age she learned about artists like Monet, Van Gogh, and Picasso that played a part in her wanting to become an artist and influenced her impressionist style. Ghanooni studied at Central Washington University and received a B.A in fine arts in 2010. Ghanooni uses very big brushstrokes and tries not to get caught up in all the little details. She takes inspiration from nature, dance, and music. Through the brushstrokes she can express what she cannot always say.
