The Deadly Neighbors

A taut suspense novel, The Deadly Neighbors is the third in the series featuring art therapist Zoe Hayes. Neighbors are shocked when a woman's body is discovered in the kitchen of Zoe's estranged father, Walter. In fact, they suspect Walter of killing her. But as Zoe investigates, it seem that the neighbors are up to some pretty shocking shenanigans themselves. Zoe tries to prove her father's innocence, but along the way, she encounters a cruel ring of organized criminals who specialize in dark and deadly forms of entertainment. Trying to escape their grasp--with her daughter, Molly, in tow--Zoe must solve a series of grisly murders. In the process, she stumbles into secrets that force her to reconnect with a lost and very frightening part of her own past.

Merry Jones is the author of the Zoe Hayes mystery series (THE NANNY MURDERS, THE RIVER KILLINGS, THE DEADLY NEIGHBORS, THE BORROWED AND BLUE MURDERS), and a new series featuring Iraq war vet Harper Jennings (SUMMER SESSION). She has also written humor (including I LOVE HIM, BUT...) and non-fiction (including BIRTHMOTHERS: Women who relinquished babies for adoption tell their stories.) Her work has been translated into seven languages. Jones teaches writing part-time at Temple University, lives outside Philadelphia with her family, is a member of Mystery Writers of America, The Authors Guild, and the Philadelphia Liars Club.
