After a messy divorce, Assistant District Attorney Liz Stanfeld has just relocated from the bustle of downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the quiet, affluent suburb of Oakwood. But just when she thinks her job is about to get easier, she is assigned one of the most explosive cases in the small town's history, the murder of a four year old boy. Now Liz finds herself playing two roles-prosecutor and investigator. On one side are the rich and powerful citizens of Oakwood demanding a quick response to the crime. On the other is the criminal.
