Diane Jones-Norris was born at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia to Mae Frances & the late Mack Roberson. She is affectionately known as a "Grady Baby." She grew up in the ghettos of Dekalb County, but was determined not to stay there. She graduated from Decatur High School in Decatur, Georgia and was a member of the Girls Basketball Team that won the Region 7-AAA Chanpionship in 1972. She retired in 2009 after working thirty-six years for the federal government.. Diane enjoys writing short stories, both fiction and non-fiction. Previously, she compiled a family history starting with Eli Curney who was born in 1854 and gained his freedom at the age of eight. She has also published a book of family memories, The Scent of a Mother. Her faith has carried her through a lot of challenges. She believes one should "Never Say Never" because you never know life’s many outcomes. However, her wish is that everyone becomes successful in life and be happy.
