Richard Jemmett’s keen interest in the generation and use of energy has helped to shape his formal career and provide an incentive to write on the subject. He graduated from the University of Leeds in 1980 with a degree in fuel and energy engineering and has held various positions within energy and consultancy companies working in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He has been a Board Director of two energy related companies and a past president of the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers. Richard has written many articles, essays, and conference presentations on utility industry strategy, energy industry development, energy market deregulation, renewable energy, distributed generation and high reliability organisational design.
