Jamie Dell White was born in Brooklyn and raised in South Florida. A former journalism student and lawyer, ＂Defense of the Heart＂ is her debut novel. She received her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University School of Law. After practicing law for several years, she put her career on hold to raise her two children. She currently lives in South Florida with her trial lawyer husband, her children and a cockapoo named Buddy.
