Set in Southern California, The Unexpected follows two young lovers who decide to marry. As the families come together at the dinner-table, a discussion discloses a mysterious death and reveals hidden secrets. An unfortunate and tragic accident catapults one of the young lover's lives into a mysterious state of confusion causing him to subsequently vanish leaving his lover devastated, consumed by loneliness and headed to a fast-track of self destruction. Born on the beautiful island of Barbados, Lattis Rosamond Richards moved to the United States when she was a teenager. For several years, she worked as a personal assistant to NBC journalist, Tom Snyder, in New York and Los Angeles before becoming an entrepreneur. As a professional baker, she owned a bakery/gift shop with a website selling products throughout the country. She is also a licensed hairstylist, fashion designer and artist turned writer/author. Her recently published book, The UneXpected, is a creative work of fiction that was spiritually inspired. Richards currently lives with her family in Los Angeles, California.
