Small Beginnings

Born on February 12, 1936 in Mossey River Municipality, Fork River, Manitoba and raised as a farm girl in the Kulish District, near Ethelbert, Manitoba, Cassie relates her biography in her first two books published. Married in 1954 to an Ethelbert farmer, Cassie took an active role in the farming operations while raising 3 children. Being resourceful, she helped save money with creative talents such as sewing. In 1977, Cassie decided to go back to school as a grade 12 student, taking night courses in several business courses and graduating one year after the last of her children! This was the completion of an unfinished dream and she felt gratified and proud of her accomplishment. In the early 1980’s, Cassie travelled not only on the continent but also worldwide and kept detailed travel logs of these true highlights of her life. This author has three books in print: Roots A Life in Review, Small Beginnings, and Sally Snowflake’s Christmas, which is a children’s story.
