Memoirs written 150 years ago, only recently discovered, tell the story of early American life through the eyes of a prominent family. A young woman’s story as she recounts her view of a family endowed with politicians, scientists, and Civil War soldiers from her town of Goshen Connecticut. Written with quill and ink, and in a style of script no longer taught, these pages were carefully transcribe for the appreciation and understanding of the days in which Abraham Lincoln was in office.
