Three Short Stories:
Denise Snider is deadly set against having children, but when her husband, Ryan, hits thirty, he starts talking kids. Denise finally gives in and tries to get pregnant, which is not as easy as she had hoped it would be. Seeing her friend, Ellen always busy with her two boys once again makes Denise reluctant to want a baby. Trouble enters the marriage when Ryan and Denise cannot agree. Can they realize in time that their marriage is worth saving?
A drunk-driver accident in which Carrie Simpson's mother is killed, leaves Carrie possibly paralyzed. At fifteen, Carrie takes a trip to the other side and returns with advice from her mother. Fighting to stay brave, while her brother and father fall apart, is hard on Carrie. But in the end she realizes something about being paralyzed that she never thought of before.
Kathy is upset when she realized that at forty-nine years old, she is expecting a baby. She hides this information from her husband, Charles, for as long as she can. But, when Charles finds out, everything changes. Can Kathy give up the freedom and independence that she was so looking forward to?
