Lightning the Cat has a very important job, to ensure the household runs smoothly. Even more important though, he is a registered care kitty for a little girl that has been with him since almost day one of his life. Keeping Mother, Daughter, and Son happy and mentally healthy is no easy job!
He has learned already to take matters one day at a time - or when dealing with Mother, one assignment at a time while the kids are in school. So, what is a normal day like for a registered care kitty?

This story is intended and written to be read to young children, but is suitable for storytime for kids ages 0 to 10 and up.
