Self-inquiry is not a search as is commonly understood. It is just perceiving "what is" without the habitual process of recognition and naming, responding from past, the memory. The process of recognition and naming makes the mind outgoing, away from "what is". In that simple perception there are no likes and dislikes because the memory is not involved. The "false i" begins and continues in identification with its own self created limitations there by creating its own self-ignorance. With constant awareness(sada apramada) there is the comprehension of the process of "false i" and the very comprehension of it is the ending of it. Then we become one with the ultimate reality. This is self-inquiry.
