Katherine Powell McCafferty was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She currently lives in Bel Air, Maryland, with her parents, Leo and Jeannette, her siblings, Amber, Austin, and Lauren, and her white German Shepherd, Belle. Katherine loves writing and reading, and has been writing books since the age of seven. She enjoys violin, dancing, and piano as well as writing. She plans to keep writing more books after Spy TEC, so expect more works by her.
