Don J. Baldwin is the oldest son of Barbara Baker and Donald J. Baldwin. He was born in Pontiac, MI on June 27th, 1967. After the divorce of his parents when he was two years old, Don, nicknamed "Jody" lived with his mother and step-father, Carl Henry Stone in rural Pilot Grove, MO. He spent the next five years growing up in the picturesque countryside surrounding Clear Creek and the Black Water River. There he attended Kindergarten through 3rd grade at Pilot Grove Public School there in Pilot Grove. In those years he was joined by a little sister: Cara Liegh and younger brother: Timothy Michael. The family relocated to Marshall, MO in 1975 following the tragic loss of Carl. Don continued his education in Marshall, MO graduating from Marshall High School in 1985. The spunky, incorrigible character of Imogene Hurley is inspired by the antics and memories of his sister Cara, several other family members and grade school friends . . . namely his first crush in second grade: Miss Georgeanna Scott. Don J. Baldwin currently resides in Seattle, WA where he continues to thrive and find inspiration.
