How to Make Love and Other Godly Thoughts contains the author's reflections on a number of compelling topics. He is intrigued with the power of love in the long history of the evolution of life on our planet. He thinks the goal that remains for us is to seek to increase the volume of love in the universe.

Wallace Clift has had a variety of experiences during his long life: Naval officer, Japanese interpreter, lawyer, Episcopal priest, Analytical Psychology student, History of Religions student, and university professor.

He published Jung and Christianity (Crossroad 1982) and Journey into Love (Crossroad 1990). With his wife, Dr. Jean Dalby Clift he co-authored Symbols of Transformation in Dreams (Crossroad 1984), The Hero Journey in Dreams (Crossroad 1988), and The Archetype of Pilgrimage (Paulist Press 1996).

Sabbaticals and other speaking engagements enabled the Clifts to travel widely around the world. For many years they lived in Denver, Colorado, but they now make their home in Olympia, Washington.
