Steve Elam hails from the Grand Rapids area of Michigan. He served in the US Navy as a technician specializing in anti-submarine warfare and as a member of a nuclear weapons handling team. After his enlistment, Steve settled in Olympia, WA, where he worked for over 25 years with the Washington State House of Representatives and the lobbying firm of Chiechi and Associates. Steve attended colleges in both Big Sandy, Texas, and in Olympia. Steve currently splits his time writing between Washington, California, and Michigan. Steve enjoys beaches, mountains, blues music and microbrews with family and friends.
