The author was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, U.S.A. After attending college at Regis University, Denver, CO, and finishing a degree in Political Sciences and Philosophy she moved to Massachusetts to attend law school. She graduated from law school in 1996 and has worked as a professor in different fields such as law, ethics, philosophy, and business. She also maintains a law practice and has written numerous legal publications, poems, novels, short stories, plays, screenplays, and lyrics. Recently, she won a screenplay competition, Voces De La Infancia, sponsored by the Ricky Martin Foundation and the Puerto Rico Film Commission with the short Zapatos Prestados.
