Family legends are created daily by the families who live them. Each and every family has legends or tales of significance to their family members and friends. Many are simply passed down by word of mouth. These tales are told generation after generation within the family until the last person to hear the story fails to pass it on to the next. Once the person who knows the tale passes away the legend is forgotten and lost forever. To preserve family legends requires that the information be recorded in some form for future generations to enjoy. After all, much of our recorded history began with someone's personal experiences that were recorded for all time. This is not the end. Sophia Frazier
