I am currently living in my home state of Ohio, but have spent considerable time in the west, including having owned a North Dakota cattle ranch, which was a major source of inspiration for my first novel, Ranch Park. When I wrote it, I never imagined that it would be the debut of a series of rural-based mysteries featuring Will Nickerson, a North Dakota small business owner turned amateur detective. However, Will and my other characters spoke to me, as characters often do with authors, and insisted that they continue in further mystery solving adventures in rural America. Look for It’s A Place For Trees and Viking It Is for more of Will and the gang, on Kindle and soon to come in a Createspace edition. I have additional stories in the works, to be published in the future. Like Will, I am also a small business owner myself. My interests include farming and ranching, foreign languages, fiction writing, hiking, cycling, skiing, photography, gourmet cooking, gardening, reading and travel. I have traveled extensively in the US and Canada and have visited Australia, New Zealand and six European countries. My goal is to get back into ranching and open an agritourism operation--perhaps not as big as the one described in Ranch Park, however!!
