About the Author Author Don Nelson, a former US embassy Marine Security Guard in Madrid, Spain, became a Special Agent with the Drug Enforcement administration following his four year tour with the Marine Corps. During his eventful twenty-one year DEA career, he was awarded five commendations. At one point, the DEA purchased his home and relocated him and his family with urgency after agents uncovered a sinister plot by an organized group of drug traffickers to have him murdered. Later, upon his retirement, his wife was awarded a commendation for her unfailing support of her husband’s career and the DEA’s mission. Author was raised in Minnesota.
