Alexa lives in the beautiful English countryside that feature in her books, in a tiny cottage converted from the stable block of a large Georgian manor house. When not writing, she works part time training financial investigators. Her own experience of the British civil service and trade union work is used in her novels to good effect, making real a world of magicians, the fay, and werewolf packs.
