Alain Xalabarde was born in the Basque Country, raised in South Africa and made in New York City. Alain has been an active filmmaker from the early age of 13. He has directed 6 short films such as ＂Wood & Holly＂ (2006) and ＂China Doll＂ (2010), as well as having worked on various screenplays and collaborated in many film projects. He is now directing his first feature film, the controversial political thriller ＂El Ultimo Roble＂, based on a ground-breaking perspective of the Basque conflict. He will also be publish a new book soon; a filmmaking guide for young, upcoming filmmakers. Alain is a citizen of the world, a curious nomad, who now resides somewhere on planet earth.
