Ellison & Amos: Inspired by a true story

Author of the middle-grade literary fiction book ＂The Fire & the Butterfly,＂ Mr. Gibbons has written this telling and poignant story about pain and desperation, and how the power of friendship offers rebirth. Raised in Boulder City, NV and living many years in the Rocky Mountains, his trek to Alaska was no less traumatic in the wake of personal loss and existential angst. Inspired by RUSH drummer Neil Peart, the similarities are woven in the description and in the continued fight which is life, proving it doesn’t matter who you were yesterday, only who you become today.
