Many of us think of faith as an intellectual exercise in which we affirm certain beliefs and principles. Some of us think of faith as our actions. The Book of Psalms reminds us that our walk with God is an emotional journey wrought with soaring highs and devastating lows. These words allow us to explore these emotions fully, by not attempting to hide or deflect from our pains and our joys, but instead diving head first into the feeling aspects of faith. These verses celebrate with us in times of overwhelming joy and offer solace during the darkest night of the soul. This guide is intended to help students of Truth in their quest for a deeper understanding of the Bible. A balance between the historical, literal and allegorical interpretations is essential for a more complete understanding.
