Poems of Analysis

Written during the last years of a 10 year Jungian Analysis, Poems of Analysis is a collection of punchy, pithy, lonesome and loathsome poems. Anger, hurt, rejection, loss, guilt, psychic entrapment all go under the microscope as the Author travels to the centre of her Psyche in a bid to discover connections between these overwhelming feelings and the paralysis in her body. The Poems and their illustrations draw the reader into a land where emotions matter, are respected and felt. More like 'emotional jet streams' than classic poetry, they can leave you thoughtful, sad, resistant, amused. A real tonic for everyone who does or wants to believe the drivers of chronic illness could be psychosomatic.

The Author has worked in the field of Art all her life, including jobs as a rock n roll dresser, antique dealer, print room assistant and editor of a local community newspaper. With the diagnosis of ’ms’ she had the time to develop her artistic nature using clay and words. Her work expresses one overriding desire - to explore her psyche and communicate with the illness running her body. Alongside this quest she is developing her writing skills and is currently working on her first novel ’Death in the Park’.
