The author writes as Jesuis Laplume (from the French words ’je suis la plume, ’ or ’I am the pen’) on matters of science and spirituality. As a scientist, I found that when writing ’in the flow’ I wrote things that were more than I had previously read, heard or even thought. This is apparently common for those who get deeply into developing any sort of art. I was trained as a scientist in an Engineering faculty, graduating with a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics (Aeronautical Option) and, after an apprenticeship in the aircraft field, moved into spacecraft component / system design and development. My Science training was short on specifics and thorough on Science and Mathematics. I was taught to question all assumptions and assume that all questions were either inadequate or in error. This education was well suited to helping move new Science into new practice, as well as helping us determine the ’right’ questions to ask in any field of endeavor. Finding the ’Right’ questions became my strength. After retirement I began studying what was going on at the leading edge of most Science fields and learned a lot from over a decade of the studies of the local group, ’The Forum on Faith and Science.’ I read widely on both the history of Science and the various fields of ’The New Spirituality, ’ where some branches tried to redevelop the initial messages of the old Religions and the new understandings of what pure information, thought, emotion and prayer / meditation could tell us much more about ourselves and our universe. I am developing a website at http: //www.jesuislaplume.com and have a large number of books and eBooks written and under consideration, as well as a Newsletter and set of Blog posts. Suggestions as to what readers would like to see next are welcomed. My primary purpose is to present the limitations of what we know and help readers better understand the questions that they should be asking about Who they really are and Why they are here having this journey as a human being. There is a great deal of misinformation about these subjects; most of which is Fear-based rather than Love-based. Love is the way we must go if we are to survive as a species.
