Vincent is both a Mason and member of the Knights of Columbus. When joining Masonry in 1972 he was challenged by his local bishop to find the cause of the dispute between the church and Masonry. Also in 1980 he instituted a donation program as a Mason to help his church aid children in need. This process has been continued.
