Laura P. Jones has lived most of her life in the United States. Originally from Jamaica, West Indies, she is the fifth of seven children, and a wife and mother of two sons. Her love for fiction began at an early age when she was exposed to such stories as "A Midsummer Night’s Dream", "The Pied-Piper of Hamelin", "Robinson Crusoe", and "Gulliver’s Travel". These and other similar stories excited her imagination, and a passion for writing fiction developed. Of her love for writing, she says, "It doesn’t matter what I’m doing, there’s always a storyline in my head that at some point is compelled to find its way into a manuscript."
