Wentworth Road

Sitting in the terminal awaiting the boarding call for his New York flight, Ben Dill knew there was something wrong. Something was nagging at him, telling him no matter what the cost, he could not board that plane. On the outside he looked like any other impatient traveler but on the inside a tempest was brewing until he could no longer endure. As he watched Jessica board the plane without him he knew it was over and wondered if he'd just made a terrible mistake. Little did he know, he was no more than a marionette and she was busy pulling his strings. Making his way back home he relies on everyone close to him - his father, his brother, his best friend and others - to stay focused on finding and keeping the girl he loves, and learning to stand on his own two feet.

Matt Clairmont is a Nova Scotian novelist born and raised in Yarmouth County. He currently resides in New Minas, in the Annapolis Valley, where he works for a non-profit organization supporting adults with intellectual disabilities. He published his first book, the crime-fiction novel Lesser Minds: The Michael Enslow Project in 2006. Wentworth Road is his second novel. In 2007 he married his wife Christina and they welcomed a son, Austin Justice, to the family in March 2011.
