The Would-Be-Protagonist is fed up languishing in a forgotten manuscript, and aims to do something about it - and that includes exploring virtually everything. The Would-Be-Protagonist is making himself heard, or at least he's trying to. In his quest to make himself seem interesting enough to Anna, and her alter ego, he's soon exploring everything between heaven and earth (if not actually on earth), and getting himself tangled in strings and super-strings, mathematical equations (and he hasn't really got a clue) and imaginary realities. If that's not enough, he travels back in time - as any virtual being can - trying to educate Anna, while all sorts of things stop play. When Anna fails to take notice of him, he resorts to following her into sleep and playing a mean trick or two, just to teach her a lesson in having to wait. The Would-Be-Protagonist (WBP) is not one for giving up. He'll allow Anna to work on other manuscripts, as long as she comes back - and if she stays away too long, he has ways and means of bringing her back round. Sometimes a little editing is all that's needed to spark Anna's - and her alter ego's - interest. If that doesn't work, a cloud of gnats might chase her indoors, back to the desk. His story will be written. WBP, a character in an all but forgotten manuscript, the writer and her pseudonym Anna, are locked in a never-ending triangle, linked through the imagination - and the findings of the imaginary soul as he delves into the mysteries of life.
