David Borges has been the New Haven Register’s UConn men’s basketball beat writer since 2007. He has covered three national championships, four Final Fours, and written a book, Rebound: The Incredible Story of UConn Basketball’s Comeback from Defeat to Dominance about the Huskies’ 2014 national championship. Named Connecticut’s Sportswriter of the Year by the National Sports Media Association in 2019, Borges has won multiple awards from APSE, SPJ, and NEPA over the years.
