Letters from Katie: O’’Breen Women

Letters from Katie tells of the journey of young Mary Katherine Donovan from her home on a tobacco farm outside the small but thriving town of Georgetown, Kentucky to England in a quest to meet a grandfather she has never known and on to Ireland to reacquaint with her mother's family. Along the way, she encounters a man who haunts her thoughts and dreams, but whom she cannot see a future. Along the way a shadow of danger follows her with the intent of harming her and her family. This is the continuing story of Wild Kentucky Rose O'Breen's family who survived the famine of Ireland and settled in Kentucky with her husband, Eric Donovan.

Janice Wasson Shepard lives in Georgetown, Kentucky with her husband, Robert, and since retirement they enjoy traveling and spending time with grandchildren and family. They winter in warmer weather and travel in their motor home across America. They visited Ireland in 2012 which inspired the series of books Wild Irish Rose, Letters from Katie and her next week book, The End of the Tracks. Retired from Kentucky Educational Television since 2008, she enjoys writing with assistance from her twin sister, Janet Wasson Covington.
