Siam Song: A Love Story

Soldiers call them "Dear John Letters". When Sergeant Matt Mathews received his, he learned his unfaithful wife had taken their daughter and gone into hiding. He reacted by getting pity-me drunk. Bad idea. Mugged in a bar parking lot and beaten senseless, he awakens in the hospital with a bandage head and a scrambled brain that no longer understands his beloved music. But broken bones and internal injuries are the least of his problems. Somehow, he unwitting became the owner of a strange manila envelope. The police refuse to take the envelope or protect him from the muggers who intend to finish killing him and take it back. In the midst of his misery and misfortune, a beautiful and exotic woman, guided by the stars and ancient oracles comes into his life and changes it forever. Is she a guardian angel, a she-devil incarnate or the perfect lover who will heal his heart and deliver him from the trauma of an abusive childhood? Matt finds out as he struggles to overcome his past and survive the present in the mysterious, oriental metropolis of Bangkok, Thailand.
