Atkins, Kentucky Population 14,513 Jimmy Williamson chose a great place to live when he settled in Atkins. Nestled deep in the quiet hills of Kentucky, he settled down to start a family, to build a rewarding career and to enjoy a long, productive life. Along with many others, Jimmy's boss, Bill Smart, watched as Jimmy worked to fulfill his dreams and believed the young man was destined for a bright future - right up until someone murdered him and dropped his body down a sewer manhole. Near the scene of the murder Bill is present when a house suddenly explodes killing its occupants and turning Bill's world upside down. For reasons he cannot begin to understand, a clan of mountain folk sets out to seek revenge for the loss of their family members on Bill and those around him. At the same time, Bill's wife Mary is haunted with uncanny dreams and disturbing prophecies from a neighbor who can neither hear nor speak. Into this tale of mystery and suspense, walk three common families, one of blood one of purpose and one of love. With the help of a disabled former police officer, and a strong sense of self-reliance, Bill, his wife Mary and their community of friends struggle to survive.

Jack Suggs lives in East Tennessee with his family. He has written several manuscripts for his personal entertainment and that of his friends and family. A few of these have been made available through outlets for the public. In addition to his long form work, he has written fiction, non-fiction, technical and humor pieces for magazines, newspapers and private publication. He has extensive experience in the utility industry, and enjoys long distance motorcycle touring, wood working and any opportunity to day dream. Raised in Texas, Jack has worked as an emergency medical technician, played in a country western bar band, flown stunt air planes, driven interstate trucks, worked construction, practiced engineering, managed people and interacted with elected and appointed officials from all levels of government. He has a wide diversity of experience and a unique take on people that he incorporates into his stories. Either that or he’s been driven nuts. Hard to tell.
