But before they could experience this, they had to walk through the fire and prove themselves. The native american tribes have been doing this since their beginning. Think Spartan Warrior - the 13 year old boy that was sent away to prove his worth.
We don’t have these rituals of blessing and acceptance into the tribe like our forefathers did. Now, our battle is one of spiritual identity and self-worth. It’s subtle, but dangerous all the same.
