Steven J Pemberton was born in England in 1970, the son of a librarian and a teacher. It was probably inevitable, therefore, that he would grow up loving books. He wanted to be a writer ever since he read The Hobbit when he was off sick from school. He currently lives in Hertfordshire with his partner, where he is working on a new fantasy novel.
