When semi-retired nurse Sophie Huggins buys her little fixer-upper house, she is surprised to find it already occupied by Maud Jones, a dead schoolteacher. In Maud, Here, Sophie and Maud have joined the crime-solving sisterhood like a pair of aging Stealth Bombers with their often hilarious, sometimes poignant escapades.

Louise is a freelance writer, photographer and nurse who has worked with the Peace Corps in Central America and American Red Cross Disaster Teams, both national and international. This has given her an extraordinary perspective of human nature, including the dark side. Louise and her Jeep, Thelma enjoy exploring the beautiful Rocky Mountains near her home, being careful to avoid cliffs.
