Darren Acheson is a normal lad with everything and the world going against him: he's on the dole, his girlfriend's got cancer and his beloved football club is near the bottom of the First Division table.

We meet him and his friends as they get by as best they can with football, fighting, music and drinking all to the beat of 80's music and the Casual culture. Will Darren and his team triumph, or will they both face the dark cloud of relegation?
