When Canni’s friend Leever bribes her into playing arm candy for dinner, she expects that he’s trying to dissuade some wannabe girlfriend, again. He thinks that Canni’s just a slightly odd Earthling who doesn’t realize one or more of her ancestors were from another planet (such as, perhaps, his). They’re both wrong.
