In the process of moving to various locations, Fiona Gribbon has started and run a wide variety of fabric based businesses, including one creating original garments from silk or silky scarves, on which this book is based. Fiona originally learned to design and sew clothes from her grandmother, a clothing designer and dressmaker. She then formally trained in fashion design, graphic design and also interior design and brings the principles from all three disciplines to her work.
