I have a 2:1 Honours degree in Law as well as a professional legal qualification (Member of the Institute of Legal Executives). On the teaching side, I have the City and Guilds 7307 (Parts 1 and 2) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Further Education. Most of my qualifications were obtained rather late in life. I did my law degree as a distance learner through the University of London, taking my finals in 1997 (and, astonishingly, winning the Butterworth prize for best student in the final year) and I completed the PGCE in 2002. I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher, formerly head of the law department at a sixth-form college and a senior examiner with AQA (one of the major A-level Law examination boards). I have a wide range of teaching experience at various levels in the classroom, by e-mail, online, and face-to-face, one-to-one. As well as teaching Law, I have developed a range of teaching materials, including multi-media courses, for various publishers. While teaching at the sixth form college, I developed a website for Law to enhance the students’ learning experience and to provide greater opportunities for students to work independently and as a resource for teachers. As well as the 2013 series of law books for Kindle I have written two A-level Law books for Pearson Education and have been involved with several other projects. In 2009 I wrote the tort and concepts of law units for the National Extension College A2 Law course. Also in 2009 I created a range of teaching materials for Hodder Education. These have been produced in the form of a CD-ROM containing PowerPoint presentations for teachers to use in the classroom, as well as worksheets and exercises for all areas of the A2 Law course (contract, tort, crime and concepts of law). In 2010 and 2011, I produced a series of dynamic learning materials for teachers of law, again for Hodder Education. I am a regular contributor to the A-Level Law Review magazine and am also a contributor at the A-Level Conference for Teachers of A-Level Law in Cambridge. Worksheets for 2009 and 2010 can be found here. Much of my tutoring, writing and other materials production is done in Greece where I spend half my time. More details of my publications can be found on my website at www.drsr.org The e-mail is the same for both - law@drsr.org
