Malcolm Blair-Robinson is the grandson of an East Prussian, whose family owned for centuries an estate on the Baltic coast, and who became one of Cecil Rhodes’ pioneers in nineteenth century South Africa. The author used aspects of an unusual family history, with links to the heart of the Nazi state, in crafting his third novel, A Gift of Treason, as well as his latest historical drama Hitler’s First Lady He is twice married, with five surviving children and three grandchildren.
