Michael Leonard Dourson has a doctoral degree in toxicology from the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine. He is president of Toxicology Excellence for Risk Assessment, a non-profit consultancy on environmental health issues. He also leads Bible study classes at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Lucas, Ohio, and through this activity, discovered a love of integrating science concepts with Biblical text. Messiah’s Star is the first book in a series devoted to this love. Michael is happily married to his first wife, Martha, a farmer’s daughter, turned lawyer. They have three lovely children, two lovely children-in law, and one grandson. Mike now considers himself fortunate to be number seven on Martha’s list. Besides gardening, fishing, and publishing (mostly science papers), Michael is active in developing the next generation of scientists and Christians devoted to a fulfilling life.
