In book three of the Tales of Sasha series, Sasha makes friends with one of the flying horses, but will she forget about her better-than-best friend Wyatt?
Sasha and her better-than-best friend Wyatt have successfully made the journey beyond the trees that line their valley to discover Crystal Cove, a land where other flying horses live! Sasha is very excited to get to know these flying horses, and she makes friends with a spunky, purple-colored flying horse named Kimani. Kimani is unsure of Wyatt since he doesn’t have wings, and tries to exclude him from their fun. Wyatt is anxious to get home to Verdant Valley, but Sasha isn’t ready to leave. Kimani convinces them to sleep over, but in the morning Sasha wakes up to find that Wyatt has left!
Sasha leaves Crystal Cove to go after him, but when she catches up to him in Verdant Valley there are suddenly small creatures on her back poking at her white patch! A sneeze from Wyatt manages to unhinge them, and Kimani, who had been following Sasha, emerges from behind the trees and explains that those creatures are plant pixies. If a plant pixie steals two feathers from a flying horse and attaches them to the harness it wears, the pixie will be able to fly too! And every time a feather is taken from a flying horse, it makes the horse weaker. The flying horses have been waiting for their Lost Princess to return to be able to stop the pixies . . . and that Lost Princess is Sasha!
